Healthy Vaishali, Happy Vaishali - A Rubanisation Initiative


An initiative for the people, by the people and of the people of Vaishali, Ghaziabad to make it world-class neighborhood progressively by 2017

·         A registered Society will be formed called as Vaishali Samuchit evam Santulit Vikas Samsthan : Vaishali SSVS. This will be a National Pilot and will be part of a national umbrella organization called Samuchit evam Santulit Vikas Samsthan(SSVS).

·         All people resident or working in Vaishali can become members. Some experts and eminent people from outside will also be invited to become members.

·         The Society will spearhead 3 primary activities with support and cooperation of all the residents, government, corporate and non-government stakeholders. Here is an outline of the 3-programs in a nutshell :

1.       Smart Vaishali – Personalized Mobility Service for movement of people and goods based on the V-Smart model that has been appreciated worldwide and presented at international conferences as the future of transport system. It will provide on-demand transport service based on choice and affordability that will set a new global benchmark for smart transportation. This will also generate tremendous savings for the community as well as unclutter land and roadspace to pave the way for the Clean Vaishali and Green Vaishali program. The service will be made available by 15th August, 2012.

2.       Clean Vaishali – An initial clean up drive will be launched to clean up land and water in Vaishali with active participation of the residents and support from the local authorities.  System and practices will be developed to create a Zero-to-Waste environment in Vaishali. Workshops will be conducted for residents to share insights and best practices from around the world.The Society will make available the most cost-effective and robust solutions using renewable energy such as solar, wind and also convert sewage and residual waste into power.  This will displace dirty diesel that are currently used for power back up. The initial clean-up drive will be completed by 2nd of October, 2012.

3.       Green Vaishali – Trees are considered as members of the community – as friends, as children and as guardian angels in the Indian tradition. Planting and nurturing trees are considered noble activities and they growth and good health is held as auspicious. In an endeavor to revive this tradition in a modern idiom and create emotional bonding, the Society proposes to invite and support all residents to plant trees Tree Plantation on birthdays, marriage anniversary as well as in the loving memory of the departed souls. In this program, we aim to plant 1 lakh trees by 5th of June, 2013 and to ensure their survival and good care.

·         The Society will organize a variety of educational, training, social and cultural programs throughout the year to support each of these activities as well, to celebrate milestones and felicitate people who make extraordinary contributions.


·         The Society shall endeavor to create a variety of local livelihood and entrepreneurial opportunities for people to live, work and play. This will help create greater harmony and happiness, bonding, a sense of community identity and a healthy unity within the community.


·         The Society will officially launch with a public function in Vaishali on the 5th of June, 2012. 

·         By this date, we shall be selecting 40 Area Coordinators (AC) who will be primarily responsible for smooth coordination of all the 3 programs in their designated Area. There will be between 3 to 5 ACs for each of the 10sq.km. area. Each Area Coordinator shall then be creating a team of 10-20 volunteers each.
We shall very soon announce the membership registration as well as invite resume for Area Coordinators.
